More brainstorming and a Blog Improvement Wrap Up Post

I have now brainstormed about my Blog Improvements for almost two weeks and that has been great. I have decided to participate in a couple of memes and weeklies and am thinking of creating my own. I haven't "developed" anything yet, but hopefully will do that the coming months. Just need to think about it some more.

For improvements I have also cleaned up the blog's look a bit. Thanks to Beth for giving me the link to the side where you can find the code for putting all labels into a drop-down menu. That has definitely freed up some space.

I will make more improvements as I think about and as I can find the time. And I am looking forward to the next Blog Improvement Project Post :o)

The image is from the user Robert Saucier's photostream on flickr. It is called Brain Storm [remue méninges].

I really like the labels drop down menu. I wonder if there is something like that for wordpress... I may have to investigate.

Can I ask how you did the labels drop-down menu? I'd love to do that on my blog too—my tag list is getting out of control!

Thanks!

The drop downs are helpful. I also like how your blogrolls have a "show all" link.

That image is AWESOME!

Thanks a lot all of you. I found the code for the drop-down menu at Blogger-buster. You can find the link at the bottom of this page under Thanks. There is a direct link. I don't know if it works with Wordpress, but if it doesn't, then there has got to be something similar working with Wordpress. Also, I would like to have a drop down menu for links and lists as well, but haven't figured out that yet, as the link I used was only for the labels-list. And I don't know enough html to dare using it for anything else ;o) If any of you find a link for a menu for lists as well, pls post it :-)

Thanks, Louise! The explanations look too complicated for me at the moment, but hopefully will make more sense after a good night's sleep!

Avisannschild, it wasn't difficult at all, but I guess I would not have wanted to do it too late in the evening myself :-) It is morning in Copenhagen now and I just arrived at work :-)

It's way past my bedtime, but I can't seem to tear myself away from my computer! (And by the way, please call me Avis!) I'll let you know how it works out and I'll see if I can figure out how to do drop-down menus for other things...

Great picture!
I may also copy your drop-down menus at some point of time, but it is not urgent yet, I think.
Amazing how much space archive & things take up after just one month, however.

It really is nice to use the drop down menus. I love the compactness of the sidebar. I haven't investigated a drop-down box for a blogroll, but some one out there has written code for it, I'm sure.

My I suggest two things for people who want to try these types of changes? (1) back up your current template and (2) try out your changes on a test blog first. These two steps will save you from yourself!

Its really nice with the drop-down menus. I enjoy it and now I am not thinking about limiting my labels!

Thanks for your comments Dorte and Beth

As you tell by the response, the drop-down label menu is a hot ticket item! For me, too - looks great.
