I have a short question. I need to find out if it is my computer or a general problem. Where my Good Reads widgets (and others) are supposed to be, I can only see empty boxes. If someone posts a video on their blog, I am unable to see it. Just see an empty box. I need to log on from work and see if its general or just my computer. Can you see my widgets?
Yep, I can see the widgets.
ReplyDeleteI can see all your widgets, too. I use Firefox.
ReplyDeleteThanks both. I just don't get it...maybe I should switch to Firefox.
ReplyDeleteAnd by the way, Alessandra, where've you been :-)
ReplyDeleteI can see your widgets in FireFox too. Try FireFox or Chrome. Sometimes widgets are blocked by your firewall or security settings in your antivirus-type software.
ReplyDeleteI see widgets. I was expecting *not* to see them considering this is my dad's computer (fondly referred to as "the relic") running Windows 98 (horrors!) and Internet Explorer zero point ancient. Anywho - good luck with them! I know it's so frustrating when you're computer doesn't do what it should be doing.
ReplyDeleteYes I see your widgets. I had some trouble posting Good Reads widgets at one time for some reason??
ReplyDeleteI can see them all on Internet Explorer - they look great!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your replies. It just gets more and more weird. I am on Internet Explorer, and it has always worked. But still I only see the empty boxes with a tiny icon in them designating that something is amiss. I just noticed that I get the same empty box with little icon on the MSN homepage with videos. I have to figure out if there is something wrong with my settings. But it is good to know that it is possibly just me being unable!
ReplyDeleteI see them, too, and I'm using Chrome.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
Well, I switched to Firefox and that did not make the widgets appear. BUT in all the empty boxes there was a little text saying: You need plug ins to see this, click here. Turns out that it was an update for Adobe Flash I had not been doing. And now, lo and behold, I can see it all. Now I just have to get used to Firefox.
ReplyDeleteThanks all for your suggestions and THANKS FOR NOTHING INTERNET EXPLORER ;o) (I mean, why should it take me switching to Firefox to get told that I needed a plug in update?)
Oh, Louise, everybody knows widgets is a question of belief.
ReplyDeleteClose your eyes, tell yourself they are there, and when you open your eyes ... if you believe it strongly enough ;)
Ok, I'm also a widget watcher ...and I see widgets! I'm running Safari on my Mac...
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love your computer sometimes! Every once in a while I have trouble with my widgets on Blogspot. I wasn't sure where the problem was, but fortunately it always works itself out.
Suzanne
I can see your widget and I highly recommend a switch to Firefox. So much more user-friendly than Internet Explorer!
ReplyDeleteI am now on Firefox :o)
ReplyDeleteI see your widget. I too switched to Firefox and have had a lot less problems since then.
ReplyDeleteI am on Firefox and I can see them
